Mock Interviews

Each year, the SPHS Business Advisory Board co-sponsors the Mock Interviews with English 11 teachers and the PTSO.  A group of BAB members visit the juniors in advance to give them tips on resume writing and interview skills.  The English 11 teachers follow up with classroom instruction and a graded assignment to create a resume. 

Then, over a three-day period in December, about 70 community volunteers come to the school to conduct 15-minute mock interviews to over 500 high school juniors who are dressed for success.  The opportunity to practice interview skills and discuss their career and educational goals with a member of the community is invaluable.
